그의 작품은 관찰되고 인지 되는 시각적 현상들에 대한 표현이다. 그에게 사진은 생각을 가시화하는 단순한 하나의 매체일 뿐이다. 그것은 곧 반드시 사진을 통해 표현 되어야 하는 것은 아니라는 것이다.

 

그의 작품은 사진적 관점보다는 조형적 관점으로 접근되어있다고 그는 말하고 있다.

 

 

His work is based rather on aspects of perception and observation than on expressing visual phenomena. Photography is just a medium that transports the idea of visualization; He is not necessarily dependant on it.

 

Therefore he says his work much more as sculpture than as photographic work.

“Solomix” is just a fusion between the words solo show and mixed media.

 

… 나의 작품은 관찰되고 인지 되는 시각적 현상들에 대한 표현이다. 나에게 사진은 생각을 가시화하는 단순한 하나의 매체일 뿐이다; 그것은 곧 반드시 사진을 통해 표현 되어야 하는 것은 아니라는 것이다. 내 작품이 사진적 관점보다는 조형적 관점으로 접근되어있다. 

 

 

My work is based rather on “aspects of perception and observation” than on expressing visual phenomena. So when we use the word “aspects” and check the meanings we bump into expressions like: “One side or part”, “appearance”, “viewpoint”, “exposure” even “positions of planets”. For me these phrases are perfectly describing the circles where I am moving inside when creating my works. 

 

Photography is just a medium that transports the idea of visualization; I am not necessarily dependant on it. Therefore I regard my work much more as sculpture than as photographic work.
